Not All Selfies are Egoism

Not all selfies are egoism. 
In a society that tells you you’re not enough,
And people that wish you weren’t there at all; 
Acquaintances that only see themselves
and “friends” that say you shouldn’t be that; 
With family that says “you aren’t that, 
You are not who you say you are, 
You’re who we say you are”
It’s often necessary to take a good look at oneself
And remind yourself who you really are
Without all the noise of those other voices.
