I first learned of this poem while listening to an edition of one of my favorite radio shows, "A Way With Words" titled " Poets Laureate and Poetry Brothels" originally broadcast in August of 2009. I've been using their website, waywardradio.org, to listen to old episodes.

In this episode a caller asks about the saying, “You look like the wreck of the Hesperus!” In the discussion they talk about the beautiful imagery and vivid language. They also mention this book available free on Google Books that includes the original lithographs illustrating and framing the poetry. Even though it's an ebook the gorgeous images in the drawings and in the words make reading this a rich experience.
